How is co-evolution caused?
It is caused by one species changing which causes the other species to also change.

Some plants have changed the shape of their flower with the shape to specific pollinator so that only one animal can feed at the flower.

How does co-evolution benifit both the plant and the insect?
The pollen is most likley going to be spread to the same flower species, benifitting the species, and there is going to be less competition for the pollinator for food as it only fits that species.

If the 2 species become too dependent on the each other they can be affected, if one species crashes the other one can also be affected.
