What is type 1 diabetes caused by?
Lack of insulin

What happens when someone has type 1 diabetes?
the pancreas produces little or no insulin so the blood sugar can rise to a level that will kill them?

How can type 1 diabetes be controlled?
Avoiding foods rich in carbohydrates, injecting insulin at meal times

Where is insulin injected into?
subcutaneous tissue

What does the amount of insulin injected depend on?
The persons diet and exercise routine.

What is type 2 diabetes caused by?
A person who is resistant to insulin or the pancreas doesn't produce enough of it

Obese people with a BMI over 30

Body mass(Kg) divided by height (m)

What can type 2 diabetes be controlled by?
having a health diet, regular exercise and loosing weight. Some exceptions can have medication or insulin injections.
