What is photosynthesis?
photosynthesis is the process which creates food for plants and algae by taking the energy from the sun and turning it into glucose.

What are the three main types of leaf tissue?
mesophyll,xylem,phloem and epidermal tissue
2 of 24
What is the equation for photosynthesis?
carbon dioxide+water-glucose+oxygen
3 of 24
What does chlorophyll in the leaves do ?
Absorbs the sunlight and uses its energy to convert carbon dioxide into glucose+oxygen
4 of 24
where does photosynthesis happen?
In the leaves of all green plants
5 of 24
What does the limiting factor mean?
The reason why photosynthesis does not take place.
6 of 24
what would be the limiting factor at night time?
There is no sun to give the plant energy
7 of 24
what is the limiting factor in the winter?
The temprature
8 of 24
What happens when there is not enough light?
The rate of photosynthesis slows down

What are chromosomes?
long molecules of DNA
21 of 24
where is DNA found?
in the nucleus of animal and plant cells
22 of 24
What is a gene
it is a section of DNA which contains the instructions to make specific protein
