Where is protease made?
In the stomach, pancreas and the small intestine.

What does protease do?
It breaks down protein into amino acids.

Where is amylase made?
In the pancreas, small intestine, and the salivary glands

What does amylase do?
Breaks down starch into simple sugars such as Maltose and dextrins etc

Where is lipase made?
In the pancreas and the small intestine.

What does lipase do?
Breaks down fats into glycerol and fatty acids.

What does bile do and where is it produced?
It is produced in the liver and it is stored in the gall bladder before being released into the small intestine. It emulsifies fats (breaking it down into tiny droplets) Bile neutralises stomach acids acids too.

Is bile acid or alkaline?
It is alkaline breaking down hydrochloric acid in the stomach, so that enzymes can do their job.
