the blood is put under pressure and is sent to the arteries so that blood can reach all parts of the body

it is a measure of the force of blood per unit area as it flows through the arteries its also measured in millimeters of mercury.

what 2 measurements is blood pressure measured in?
systolic-the first number is the pressure in your arteries when your heart contracts when the blood pressure is at its highest and the 2nd one is diastolic which is the second number is the pressure in your arteries when your heart relaxes.

120/80 but this can be affected by age and lifestyle.

what are the factors that lead to high blood pressure?
excess weight so people who are very overweight also high stress levels and excess alcohol.

high blood pressure. smoking, to much salt and high in fat diets.
