What is the function of the nucleus of an Animal cell?
The nucleus controls what the cell does.
1 of 6
What is the function of the cell membrane?
The function of the cell membrane is to help keep the shape of the cell firm and rigid, the cell membrane is made of cellulose.
2 of 6
What is the function of the mitochondria?
Mitochondria release energy for respiration.
3 of 6
Define Osmosis......
Osmosis is the movement of water molecules across a partially permeable membrane from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.
4 of 6
Define Diffusion......
Diffusion is the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration across a concentration gradient.
5 of 6
Define Active Transport......
Active Transport is the movement of substances from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration across a concentration gradient. Active Transport requires energy from respiration.
