?
When do enzymes work best?
In a narrow pH range.
1 of 6
In what conditions do protease enzymes in the stomach work best?
Acid conditions, glands in the stomach wall produce hydrochloric acid to create very acidic conditions.
2 of 6
In what conditions do amylase and lipase work in the small intestine?
They work best when conditions are slightly alkaline.
