what are daughter cells?
a cell formed by the division or budding of another

what is mitosis?
a type of cell division that results in 2 daughter cells each having the same number and kind of chromosomes as the parent nucleus, typical of ordinary tissue growth.

what is meiosis?
a type of cell division that results in four daughter cells each with half the number of chromosomes of the parent cell, as in the production of gametes and plant spores.

transmissible diseases, are illnesses that result from the infection, presence and growth of pathogenic (capable of causing disease)

where do you find DNA?
DNA is found in chromosomes which are in the nucleus of a cell

how many chromosomes are in a sperm/egg cell?
sex cells only contain 1 chromosome from each pair but when the egg cell joins he sperm cell, the fertilized egg contains 23 pairs of chromosomes altogether.
