What is a quadrat? Describe how you would use it?
You use a quadrat to count (not to collect) organisms. it is a square frame. you randomly place it or throw it onto the ground and then count how many organisms are inside it.

an ecosystem is not the same as a habitat. a ecosystem ia all the organisms living in a particular area, as well as all the non-living physical conditions e.g temperature and light.

Competition happens when different organisms in the same area need the same resource (e.g. food or water)
