Epididymus
6m long coiled tube that stores sperm and transports it from the testes. It is a curved structure on the posterior margin of each testis

Sperm duct
Sperm passes through the sperm duct and mixes with fluids produces by the glands, the fluids produce the sperm cells with nutrients. It's 2cm in length and created when the seminal vesicles duct merges with the epididymus.

Prostate gland
Walnut sized gland between the bladder and penis. It secretes fluid that nourishes and protects sperm. The ph is slightly alkaline

Cowpers Gland
It protects the sperm during ejacualtion but only produces a small amount of seminal fluid. pair of glands size of peas.

Seminal Vesicle
Located behind the bladder. Releases 60% of seminal fluid, 2 inches long. It also has clotting properties that make the semen sticky.

Urethra
Male urethra is narrow fibromuscular tube that conducts urine and semen to the exterior of the body. The female Urethra is a tubular structure that has the sole purpose of conducting urine from the bladder to the outside body.

Penis
Reaches its full size during puberty, 7.2-7.6 PH. Its a ring of muscles, can either excrete urine or semen and not both. Made up of erectile tissues. Not just for sex but is used for urine to leave the body.

Erectile Tissue
fills with blood during sexual arousal producing an erection. The root and body of the penis are spanned by three masses of erectile tissue.

Scrotum
loose pouch like skin that hangs behind the penis. contains testicles, many nerves and blood vessels. It has a protective function and acts as a cumate control system for the testes.

OVARY
They produce female hormones(iestrogen and projesterone, and release eggs. Pair of ovaries held by a membrane besides the uterus.

Oviduct/Fallopian tube
pair of long narrow ducts located in the female abdominal cavity that transport the male sperm cells to the egg. Provide a suitable environment for fertalization.

Uterus
3 Layers, inner middle and outer. The uterus is connected to the fallopian tubes, the cervix abd vagina. Main purpose is to nourish fetus prior to birth.

Endometrium
Layer in which implantation takes place. Innermost of three layers of tissue that line the uterus.

Cervix
To allow the flow of mestrual blood from the uterus to the vagina and direct sperm into the uterus. the opening of cervial canal is narrow. during labour it opens to 10 cms to allow the birth of a baby

Vagina
Is acidid. a distensible muscular tube that is approx 9cm long. it has serveral important roles, sexual intercourse, childbirth and mesntruration.
