What are enzymes made up of?
Proteins
1 of 8
What are proteins made up of?
Chains of amino acids
2 of 8
What is a catalyst?
A catalyst is a substance which increases the speed of a reaction, without being CHANGED or USED UP in the reaction
3 of 8
Why is temperature important for enzymes?
Temperature controls the rate of an enzyme-catalysed reaction
4 of 8
Are enzymes all the same shape?
No, enzymes match the shape of the substance it is breaking down
5 of 8
What does 'DENATURED' mean in terms of enzymes.
It means the shape of the enzyme has changed, so that it won't work anymore. Enzymes are 'DENATURED' at high temperatures
6 of 8
How does 'PH' affect enzymes?
It has too be just right, too high or too low and the enzyme is DENATURED
7 of 8
What is an optimum pH?
The ph an enzyme works best at. Pepsin in the stomach works best at pH 2, so it is suited to the acid conditions in the stomach.

This is brilliant, I don't understand why people have rated it as low as they have... Nice work, this is an awesome resource.
