Outline the role of hormones
Chemical substance found in blood that regulates the activity of cells and organs. Affects brain development of child in the womb and proceeds through life (puberty)

Outline the role of chromosomes
Sex is decided at conception. The body usually has 23 pairs of chromosomes that determine biological sex. In males the SRY gene causes testes, and produce androgens. Without these androgens, embryos develop.

Physical effects= lactation and child birth. Psychological effects= Reduction of stress

Physical effects= breast development and ovulation. Psychological effects= emotional

Overemphasis on nature- If it was down to biology, would find more differences. Maccoby + Jacklin (1974) found more differences in behaviour within sexes than betweeen them. SLT would explain cultural differences.
