Why are computers represent data in binary?
It is the only language computers understand. Each CPU is made up of millions of transistors which can only have two states: on and off
1 of 6
What does a NOT gate do?
Reverses the input. (e.g 0 becomes 1 and 1 becomes 0)
2 of 6
What does an AND gate do?
Waits for both inputs to be 1 before outputting a 1
3 of 6
What does an OR gate do?
Waits for either input to be 1 before outputting a 1
4 of 6
What are truth tables?
Truth tables are table that show all the possible inputs and outputs of a logic gate
