Cytoplasm, new cell walls.

Step 4. The cytoplasm divides and 2 daughter cells are produced. Each one has one copy of the circular DNA, but can have...copies of plasmids
A variable number.
5 of 8
What increases division speed?
Temp increase, nutrients. Some can take as little as 20 minutes in right conditions.
6 of 8
What if conditions become unfavourable?
Cells stop dividing and begin to die.
7 of 8
Mean division time - 1. Make sure both times are in the same units e.g. 2.5 hours = 150 minutes. Divide the total time that the bacteria are producing cells by the mean division time. This gives you the number of divisions. Multiply 2 by it.
