1944: The Education Act by Churchill's wartime governement. (secondary education for all & no one could leave school until they're 15).

800,000+ council houses built and 150,000 prefab houses. 1946: New Towns Act (money for new towns close to London & other cities)

IDLENESS
By 1950: Labour Government achieved virtually full employment. Assistend bu USA known as Marshall Aid which provided finance & resources for new buildings.
