The Buddhist belief that life, death and rebirth is like a wheel which never ends.

Shows rebirth is due to greed hatred and ignorance. Shows effect of Karma. Guidence on how to overcome Samsara. Shows that you cant escape the wheel untill you reach enlightenment.

Form, Sensation, Perseption, Mental formantion, Consciousness. They come together at birth and fall apart at death. they are always changing.

Vinaya Pitaka: The rules for monks and nuns. Abidhama Pitaka: commentries on the Buddha's teachings. Sutta Pitaka: collection of the Buddhas teachings.

Contains teachings of the Buddha. Explains how to live as a Buddhist. Explains haw monks and nuns should live. Stories on meditation and reaching enlightenment.

Sayings of the Buddha part of the Sutta Pitaka. Importance: Attributed to the Buddha. Contain spiritual insights. Outline the basic beliefs. Guidance on how to live in peace. Describes path to Buddhahood and it's aim.

Right veiw & right intention. Accepting the Dhamma for the basis of life. The motives you have for achieving enlightenment.

Sila (Way of Morality)
Right speech, Richt action, Right livelihood. Being kind to all life, having a job that fits into the buddhist principles, not gossiping.

Samadhi (Way of morality)
Right effort, Right mindfullness, Right concentration. Put in effort to get rid of negative thoughts. Recogniseunconsious motives, meditate to become calm.

Sangha
1 of the 3 jewels. Community of lay Buddhists and Monks. Importance: Part of the major traditions. Set up by the Buddha. Offer advice and support on buddhist values. Opportunity to gain punna. Participate in monastic community. Preserve the teachings
