Why do humans rely on ecosystems?
Ecosystems provide us with clean air, water and food. Also, provide humans with fertile soil that is full of mineral nutrients that is need to make crops.

Sustainability means meeting the need of today’s population without harming the environment so that future generations can still meet their own needs.

Sunlight used to make food by photosynthesis. The sunlight energy is initially stored in form of carbohydrates. Then, transferred between organisms when they’re eaten.

Heating and lighting systems in greenhouse and irrigation systems.

A community may need to cause damage to ecosystem to get resources they need. For example, population growth in areas means more people need to be fed.
