How to calculate the population size of a small sample area?
The number of animals found on the first sample multiplied by the number found on the second sample divided by the number of animals on the second sample that had been previously marked.

No death, immigration or emigration. That you have used identical sampling methods. Marking has not affected the survival rate.

An ecosytem that has all the necessary components for life, food chains and nutrients are all provided naturally.

A gradual change in the distribution of species across a habitat.
