What can Dialysis help you do?
Keep someone alive who has kidney failure.

How does a dialysis machine work?
Blood flows between partially permable membrane where dialysis fluid only has useful substances so the waste substances go down the conc gradient into the dialysis fluid.

It restores concentration of useful substances back into the blood.

A couple of times a week, at regular intervals.

If their kidney becomes damaged and is unable to carry out the functions of a normal kidney.
