What are all living things made up of ?
Cells
1 of 13
What cells are in animal cells?
A nucleus,Cytoplasm,A cell membrane,Mitochondria, Ribosomes.
2 of 13
What cells are in plant cells?
The same as an animal cell but with extras such as: Chloroplasts, Permanent vacuole.
3 of 13
What are the main feature found in all living cells?
A nucleus, Cytoplam ,A cell membrane, Mitochondria, Ribosomes
4 of 13
How do plant cells differ from animal cells?
Plant cells have all the same features in an animal cell but has extra features such as Chloroplasts and A permant vacuole
5 of 13
why are the nucleus and the mitochondria so important?
The nucleus controls the activity of of the cell which makes it important and the mitochondria is the site of respiration.
6 of 13
How are bacteria different from animals and plant cells?
It has a genetic material, unlike animal and plant cells the nucleus is found free in the cytoplasm. Bacteria may have a slime capsule around the outside of the cell wall.
7 of 13
how do yeast cells differ from bacterial cells?
its bigger than a bacterial cell but small. It reproduces asexually budding.
8 of 13
In which part of the cone cell do we find mitochondria?
The middle segment is packed full of mitochondria.
9 of 13
Why do sperm contain digestive enzymes?
For breaking down the outer layers of the egg.
10 of 13
What are the two main adaptations in a root hair cell?
The root hairs increases the surface area for water to move into the cell. The root hair cells have a large permanent vacuole that speeds up the movement of water by osmosis from the soil across the root hair cell.
11 of 13
What is diffusion?
Diffusion is the spreading out of the particles of a gas, or of any substance in solution (a solute).
12 of 13
What is meant by the net movement of particles?
the spreading out or over all movement of particles
