What are Chromosomes?
Chromosomes are found in the nucleus of most cells. They consist of long strands of substance called DNA.

What is a Gene?
A section of DNA that has the genetic code for making a particular protein.

How many Chromosomes are in a human body cell?
23 pairs or 46 individual chromosomes. You get 23 from your mother and 23 from your father.

What are Alleles?
Different versions of the same gene are called alleles. They can be either recessive or dominant.

What is Cloning?
Cloning occurs naturally in some plants and in human identical twins, and it is now possible to clone animals artificially.
