Refracts (bends) light into the eye. 1 of 11 What does the iris do? Controls how much light enters the pupil. 2 of 11 What does the lens do? Refracts light, focusing it to the retina. 3 of 11 What does the retina do? LIGHT SENSITIVE part that is covered in RODS AND CONES which DETECT LIGHT. 4 of 11 Rods... Sensitive in dim light, can't sense colour. 5 of 11 Cones... Sensitive to colours, not good in dim light. 6 of 11 What is red, green colour blindness due to? A lack of CONE CELLS. 7 of 11 What is the optic nerve? Carries impulses from receptors to brain. 8 of 11 How does the eye focus light?
