What is CNS?
The central nervous system.
1 of 7
What does the CNS consist of?
Brain and Spinal Cord.
2 of 7
What are the three types of neurone that the CNS is made up of?
SENSORY, RELAY, MOTOR.
3 of 7
Explain how the CNS coordinates information? (7)
Stimulas, Receptor, Sensory neurone, CNS, Motor neurone, Effector, Response.
4 of 7
What do reflex actions do?
Stop you injuring yourself.
5 of 7
Explain how reflex actions work...
1) CNS uses ELECTRICAL IMPULSES for QUICK RESPONSES. (Sensory neurone connects to relay connects to motor.)
6 of 7
Explain how neurons transmit info as electrical impulses.
EI passed along AXON OF CELL. Neurones have DENDRITES so they can CONNECT to other neurones.
