Pituitary Gland
A small gland at the base of the brain that produces hormones

Aka Follicle Stimulating Hormone. A hormone that stimulates ovaries to produce oestrogen

Oestrogen
A hormone secreted by the ovaries that inhibits the production of FSH and causes the production of LH

LH
Aka Luteinising Hormone. A hormone that stimulates the release of an egg in the menstrual cycle.

In vitro fertilisation (IVF)
A process where an egg is fertilised by sperm outside the body

Embryo
A ball of cells that will develop into a human/animal baby

A growth hormone produced by plants
