What is the difference between 'health' and 'fitness'?
Health is being free of any infections and diseases, whereas fitness is a measure of how well you can perform physical tasks.

Systolic pressure is when the pressure is at its highest, when the heart contracts.

What is diastolic pressure?
Diastolic pressure is when the pressure is at its lowest, when the heart relaxes.

What is a typically healthy blood pressure?
Shouldn't be higher than 135 (systolic pressure) or lower than 85 (diastolic pressure).

What are some factors that can increase blood pressure?
Smoking, being overweight, drinking too much alcohol or being under significant amounts of stress.

What health problems can HIGH blood pressure cause?
High blood pressure can cause blood vessels to burst, which can lead to strokes, brain and kidney damage.

How can high blood pressure be decreased?
HBP can be decreased through lifestyle changes; e.g. eating a healthier diet and partaking in regular exercise. In extreme cases, drugs can be used to help the problem.

What problems can LOW blood pressure cause?
LBP can result in poor circulation, so tissues don't get all the food and oxygen they need. If your brain does not get all the food and oxygen it needs, you can feel dizzy and end up fainting.
