The patient has a wide variety of entertainment choice compared to most hospitals that have communal TV and basic telephone facilities. Although some services may be chargeable, most aren't and the patient can get more things, non communial.

They are directly in control of their communications with friends and family uses telephone services, Internet access, webmail and social media sites.

What are some benefits to the hospital from using entertainment systems?
It could be used by staff to access patients' electronic records. This could easily be used by nursing staff to update patient records with each medication that was applied. Also, staff could explain test results from their bedside.
