What is manicheism?
A form of christianity which believes that suffering and evil in the world are not caused by God, but rather by a lower being (satan). We have a higher soul which desires God, and a lower soul which desires evil.

What is Platonism?
They believed that the soul can ascend to merge with the One where it encounters truth, wisdom and happiness.

What was human will before the fall?
Human enjoyed a period of harmony. Expressed in the complete obedience to God and their duty to other beings. Will was driven by cupiditas and caritas (self and generous love). There was no lust.

What was human will after the fall?
Human's now desire to be like God. Can never enjoy a harmonious relationship with god or each other. Human will is now weaker and we are now unable to control bodily desires. There is too much lust.

Weakness of will. (Is questionable, depending on the action)

What is concupiscence?
Sexual lust, but also bodily desires of all kinds. Money, food, power.

What is original sin?
The Christian notion that despite being created in the image of God, all humans fail to fulfill this potential and live in disharmony.

Does Augustine believe in free will?
No, lust, ignorance and death are all punishments for human reasoning and we can never overcome this.

How do Human's achieve salvation?
Through God's grace, and only through God's grace.

What does Dawkins say?
Belief in original sin is irrational and dangerous. It is absurd to imagine corruption of all humans is because of two people. Christianity is to obsessed with sin and guilt. Killing jesus on the cross is sadomasochistic and irrational.
