How does attachment develop?
Pre attachment - Take love from anyone, Attachment in making - realise whose who, Clear cut attachment - don't want to leave attachments and Goal corrected partnership - recognises their caregiver needs love

What does a secure infant attachment entail?
correct balance, child allowed to explore safely with that attachment figure, marked by positive and quick response to caregiver

What does an insecure-avoidant attachment entail?
independent of attachment both physically and emotionally, do not orientate to their attachment when exploring

What does an insecure-resistant attachment entail?
shows clingy dependent behaviour but rejects attachment, cannot be comforted and they fail to develop any feelings of security from attachment figure

What does insecure-disorganised attachment entail?
no clear strategy and linked with child behaviour problems

What are the four stages to how attachment develops?
pre attachment, attachment in the making, clear - cut attachment and goal corrected partnership

What does the pre attachment stage involve?
the child takes love from anyone that gives it

the child knows who is who and recognises familiar individuals
