ellipses
These are slightly squashed circles. They are the shape in which all the planets orbit the Sun

ecliptic
This is the name for the plane of the Earth's orbit

Zodiacal Band
As the planets are only inclined to the ecliptic by a few degrees; they appear to move though a narrow band of the sky called the Zodiacal Band

inferior planets
These are planets closer to the Sun than the one you are describing. The Earth's inferior planets are Mercury and Venus.

The planets that are further away from the Sun that the one you are describing. For Earth this would be: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
