what is aerobic activity?
activity that uses oxygen supplied to the muscles via the cardiorespiratory system.

what is anaerobic activity?
activity that requires energy to be produced without the use of oxygen to the muscles.

what is happening to the body?
cardiovascular system- refers to the heart and blood vessels which circulates blood around the body. the volume of blood being pumped changes during activity.

the respiratory system
refers to the lungs, and the muscles which control the thorax cavity that are attached to the rib cage. increasing lung capacity allows the body to intake oxygen and dispel carbon dioxide more quickly.

the circulation and respiration rates
controlled to ensure that the supply of oxygen and food, together with the removal of carbon dioxide, is maintained during exercise.

aerobic activity:
1) when the amount of oxygen taken up by the muscle is sufficient to supply energy demand 2) carbohydrate, fat or protein are broken down to give energy off 3) no harmful waste products result.

anaerobic activity:
1) energy is demanded immediately 2) latic acid is left which builds up in muscles 3) this is harmful and this causes fatigue

which activity does a dancer use?
dance tends to use anaerobic activity during technique class. however some choreographers may play on a dancers aerobic endurance also.

what supplements aerobic fitness?
1) jogging, swimming, cycling gradually increasing in frequency intensity and elevation

what is the benefit of anaerobic activity?
it involved short bursts of movement, it requires strength and power in muscles.
