Define telos.
The purpose of an object.

Define The Material Cause.
The substance from which a thing is made or created. All matter has the potential to change. A table is made of wood.

Define The Efficient Cause.
The cause which brings something into being. The way in which it was created. A carpenter brings a table into being.

Define The Formal Cause.
The closest to Plato's idea of the Form but it does not belong to abstract world. The characteristic of an object that makes it the form that it is. It is the idea or plan that led to the object's creation. A carpenter has an idea about the table.

Define The Final Cause.
The most important cause as it describes what something is for (telos/purpose). A plate is made so you can eat from it.

Define aitia.
Aristotle's categories of types of matter. The three types of matter include decaying substance, non-decaying substances and substances immune to change.

Define motus.
Aristotle's idea that the world is subject to change.

Define empirical/empirical knowledge.
Reacing conclusions through observation and experiment rather than theory.

Define eudaimonia.
Moral actions that result in the well-being of an individual.
