Revealed to humans as divine commands which are in the old law and new law.

Natural Law
They are imprinted in humans who recognise it by using their reason. Everything in nature/creation has an end purpose or "final cause". Animals fulfil their purpose naturally by instinct. Humans have free will, don't always fulfil their purpose.

Human Law
Laws devised by human reason, adapted specifically to particular historical circumstances. The purpose is to promote virtue.

The highest level of law, the mind of God. God's relationship with the universe he creates is like the relationship of a ruler to a community.
