I don't think the light dependent reaction produces water as well as NADPH, Oxygen and ATP. Isn't the water split by light energy into; hydrogen ions (reducing the NADP to NADPH), electrons (to replace the ones lost by the cholorphyll molecule) and Oxygen (one of the other waste products of the light dependent reaction)? I'm sure that's what my text book says :S
