new behaviour are learned through association

unconditioned stimulus=unsonditioned response then neutral stimulus+UCS=consitioned response then conditioned stimulus= conditioned responce

what is operant conditioning?
learning through reinforcement

what did skinner do?
said there were 2 types of reinforcement 1. positive 2. negative. box with a rat in it, overtime the rat presses the leaver he gets a reward, if the rat doesn't press the leaver he gets a electric shock.

what is social learning theory?
learning through observation. learn consequences through indirect or vicarious reinforcement.

what did bandura do?
showed a video to children of doll being hit, children then placed in lab to see if the same thing occurred, half watched the video half didn't.

someone we identify our selfs with e.g family or someone of same gender
