?
Neurochemistry
Chemical processes in the brain.
1 of 7
Neurotransmitters
Chemicals released from the end of brain cells (neurons) allowing communication and relay messages to different areas. Different Types. Either has a excitation or inhibitory function.
2 of 7
GABA (Gamma-amino butyric acid)
Inhibits activation of neurons - blocks brain signals. Controls fear and anxiety. Can help ADHD and reduces symptoms of PMS.
3 of 7
Dopamine
NT, precursor of adrenaline. Helps control the brains reward and pleasure centers.
4 of 7
Serotonin
Inhibits receiving neurons - carries the signal along. Affects mood. A deficit of serotonin leads to depression.

Produced naturally. Used in injections for bad blood pressure. Fight or Flight chemical.
