What are the 3 shapes of epithelial cells?
Squamous, Cuboidal and Columnar.
3 of 9
What are the 3 cell arrangements called?
Simple, Pseudostratified and Stratified.
4 of 9
What are the 3 ways glandular epithelium are classified?
By cell number (uni- or multi-cellular), arrangement of gland branches (simple or compound) or by the type of secretion produced.
5 of 9
What are the 3 types of glandular secretions?
Merocrine (releasing a watery product by exocytosis e.g. sweat, saliva), Apocrine: Portion of the cell is released e.g. mammary glands, Holocrine: Oil gland, the whole cell dies and lyses to release products e.g. oil glands in the scalp

What are the 3 main types of connective tissue?
Dense regular (Strong - fibres run parallel to direction of force), Dense irregular (resists tension from any direction), Elastic (can increase its size x1.5)

What are the 2 types of Nervous tissue?
Neurons (nerve cells that generate action potentials), Neuroglia (no impulses but protect neurons)

What are the 3 types of Muscular tissue?
Skeletal (motion and protection), Cardiac (heart walls), Smooth (hollow internal structures e.g. stomach, blood vessels)
