Temple of Zeus
Centrepiece of the Altis. It contained a large statue of Zeus made out of gold and ivory. Wearing a robe of gold.

Altar of Zeus
Large mound of ash created by the many large sacrifices.

Temple of Hera
Oldest building in the Altis and was originally dedicated to both Hera and Zeus. Temple also housed a bronze discus with the sacred truth inscribed onto it. Also an ivory table where the prizes where handed out.

The Pelopian
Funeral mound found at the tomb of Pelops. Open air shrine dedicated to the hero. It was located next to the temple of Hera on the south side.

Treasuries
North of the Altis these small buildings were constructed by the different Greek cities to house their dedications to the sanctuary and display their treasures.

Zanes
In front of the treasuries the Zanes were sixteen bronze statues of Zeus that were funded by the fines of cheaters depicting Zeus hurling his thunderbolt, they were supposed to strike fear in athletes to stop them cheating.
