beard, trident, chariot, hippocamps - god of the sea, so would destroy your boat if not appeased - god of horses, so worshipped before chariot races - god of earthquakes (speaks for itself) - sailing was common, so you would pray for a good journey.

accompanied by Persephone, holding the cornucopia - so that you would go to Asphodel or Elysium instead of Tartarus.

travellers cap, winged shoes, caduceus (snake sceptre) - god of thieves and travel, so you would pray that you weren't robbed on the road - god of trade, so for profit - messenger, so that your message arrives - so you'll be guided to the underworld.

armour, shield, spear - so that a battle goes well - so that you would have courage before a fight.

armour, shield, spear, aegis - for good strategy in battle - goddess of wisdom, so pray for good ideas - patron god of Athens, so Athenians would worship her.

hammer/crafting tools, inspecting weaponry, blacksmith's tunic - blacksmiths want to make good weapons - god of fire, so you wouldn't want volcanic eruptions.
