Lighting: Pink and intamate untill the inspector arrives then turns bright and harsh. Symbolic as the insepctor is always bringing the characters into the light to show them photos or to talk to them.
The inspector litterally shows them the light.

inspector Goole: Spells out his name so J.B priestly wants the audience to recognise the name? Goole sounds lik a ghost.
He is always sepparating each person to show them the photo which leads to suspision that there may be more than 1 photo.

Goole: Timing of his arrival. sounds as if he has been called "dont get into any court sandal"-Aurther Birling

Aurther Birling: getting a knighthood, very "portentous" with "Provincial speech"
"just let me finish eric"- always butting in and belittles Eric. calls himself a "hard-headed, practical man of business"

Birling was blind "it'll make war impossible" "silly little war scares" and the Titanic was "Unsinkable"
He is controlling and does this by making eric and shelia seem younger than they are. "you three young people"
