(1990)= supreme court rules that tribal courts did not have criminal jurisdiction over someone who did not belong to their tribe

in 1991 there was evidence of police beating up this black suspect, riots erupted when the police where declared innocent, this led to 55 deaths and 7,300 injuries

in 1983 38.2% of black high school students were enrolled in college but it rose to 51.5% in 1992 which was still lower thsn the 63.9% of whites, NA with college education increased by 20% between 1981-92

in 1992 half if black population lived in neighbourhoods which were more than 50% white, more interracial marriages, in 1988 in the south 43% of black children attended schools that were 50% white, 9% still lived in de facto segregation

1991 at a convention it was alleged that over 100 naval officers harrassed 80 women, Durral Wiliams led the campaigm but he said that female officers were “******* dancers or go go dancers” this led to further investigations and over 100 resignations

what was the Planned Parenthood of southeastern Pennsylvania v casey (1992)?
upheld a pennyslvanaia state law that required women to undergo counselling and wait 24 hours before a divorce, but struck down the idea that women needed signed contracts from her husband

a black man who was accussed of harrassment of Anita Hill, there was a dismissal of the case by a 96% male senate, this led to large numbers of women standing for office doubling women in office by 50%, there was 7 women senetors out of the 50

Child Support Recovery Act (1992)= made fathers pay child support, womens buisness ownership act (1988)= gave financial aid to women wanting to make buisnesses
