The CCC helped unemployment in young people; it provided 6 months of work for men aged between 18 and 25 in conservation projects such as planting trees and to stop soil erosion. By 1940 over 2 million people were employed.

What was the AAA?
The AAA helped rural poverty and the low crop prices. it was intended to help farmers increase their profits. Subsidies were paid to farmers to destroy their crops and slaughter their animals in an effort to push up prices. Increased income by 1 1/2

Helped to tackle unemployment. Government spent $3 million on public works projects for unemployed - slum clearance, building schools, roads and hospitals.

What was the EBA?
Americans had little confidence in banks so the government closed all banks for ten days. He then officially backed 5000 banks, this helped to restore the confidence.
