What does a Chromosome consist of?
A string of Genes.

What is a gene?
A gene is a short piece of DNA that codes for a specific protein. You have genes for hair structure, eye colour, enzymes and every other protein in your body.

What is DNA?
Each gene is a length of DNA. DNA is a long, coiled molecule formed from two strands. The strands are twisted in a double helix.

What is the double helix joined with?
The two strands of the double helix are joined by pairs of bases. There are four different bases in DNA; A, C, G, T

What are the base's complimentary bases?
A always pairs with T. C always pairs with G.
