The last question answer is wrong: "The emperor penguin has a low surface area : volume ratio which means it retains heat more efficiently."

A smaller surface area to volume ration means that heat is retained more easily, this is why animals that live in cold climates such as polar bears, have small surface area: volume ratios. This is why polar bears are so big, to get this small ratio and to RETAIN their heat easily.

Yes, the last question is wrong - a small surface to volume ratio means that the animal will retain heat more easily as it has less skin to loose heat from - the opposite for large surface area to volume ratio.
