What do plants not need to fight for in order to survive?
Food as they can create their own using photosynthesis
2 of 9
Surface area:volume for animals in cold climates?
Small surface area to volume to minimize heat loss
3 of 9
Surface area:volume for animals in hot climates?
Large surface area to volume to maximize heat loss
4 of 9
Where do lichens grow and why?
Exposed places such as rock or tree bark. They need to be good at absorbing water and nutriets to grow there
5 of 9
What do Lichens do?
Sulfur dioxide damages them and prevents them from growing, in a place where no lichens are growing it shows that the air is heavily polluted with sulfur dioxide
