Abortion
The act of deliberately terminating a pregnancy, usually before 24 weeks.

Active euthanasia
Actively and deliberately causes the persons death

Passive euthanasia
Causing death through withdrawing or withholding treatment

Voluntary euthanasia
When a person requests euthanasia as a plan if they are ever unable to voice their opinion e.g if in a coma.

Non-voluntary euthanasia
The decision is made for the person when they are unable to make the decision for themselves without their consent e.g if in a coma, brain damaged or too young to make the decision.

Involuntary euthanasia
The person may have expressed wishes to continue living, however the choice is made anyway as a to stop their suffering

Living will
A document that specifies an individuals wishes regarding care and treatment if he or she becomes incapacitated.
