Quotes to show that Eddie is over protective of Catherine
"Why didn't you ask me before you take a job". The repartition of "me" implies that Eddie likes to have control over Catherine. Moreover, "why didn't you ask" sounds very condescending, almost as if he is scolding a child.

"Katie, you are walkin' wavy! I don't like" 'almost in tears because he disapproves'. Catherine is 'almost in tears' which shows that she wants to impress him. Eddie accuses Catherine of walking "wavy" which suggests that she is walking like a model
