Act 1, Scene 1 - I
Dionysus and Heracles = D and X arrive at H's house, D dressed as H over his typical costume, D and X banter (slave master relation), they talk to H about going to the underworld, puns, ridiculousness and jab at inflation

Act 1, Scene 1 -II
Dionysus and The Frogs = D and X follow a procession of corpses to where Charon is waiting to take passengers. X can not go in the boat, leaving D on his own to row, D rowing is degrading, argument with the Frogs - D wins (second speaker/God)

Act 1, Scene 1 - III
Dionysus and Xanthias = The two meet on the other side of the lake, slapstick in the form of D being afraid of the monsters and seeking X for reassurance, role reversal, hide from the initiates

Act 1, Scene 1 - IV
The chorus of initiates = The initiates call upon Iacchos, X is mocking, chorus split into men and women, comedy as a religion, jab at inflation again, X and D join in and are pointed to Pluto's palace

Act 1, Scene 2 - I
Dionysus and Xanthias to Pluto = D faces Aeacus and is afraid, swaps with X, promised flutegirls swap back, angry landladies, swap a few more times

Act 1, Scene 2 - II
Dionysus and Aeacus = Aeacus comes back to torture "Heracles" (X), offers his own slave D, whipping contest ensues, decided to go to Pluto

Act 1, Scene 2 - III
The Chorus - The chorus ***** for a while anout polititcians and the state of "modern" Athens, complain about the slaves and masters of the sea battle - ti was handled wrongly Athens has "hanged herself, but what a splendid rope"

Act 2, I
Xanthias and the Slave = two slaves bitching about their masters is common in Greek comedy, told about the issue with A and E, Dionysus and expert = LOL

Act 2, II
Euripides and Aeschyltus enter = The poets are weapons of war, already arguing and bickering, Chorus praise the Muses, A prays to Demeter and E to his "Nostrils" (silly)

Act 2, III
Argue 1 = E says that A always started the same way, character on stage who didn't speak whereas E always got straight to the point, A retorts that E only liked low status characters and taught the audience the wrong things

Act 2, IV
Argue 2 = E says A opening lines are pompous and repetitious, A says that E's opening lines dont make sense and follow the same pattern throughout (bottle of oil gag)

Act 2, V
Argue 3 = E mocks A's songs (but at least they are respectable), A says that E's songs are nonsense and inspired by whores

Act 2, VI
Argue 4 = The weighing of the poetry, A wins because his has "heavier" things (water, death, chariots and corpses)

Act 2, VII ( Dionysus' decision)
D cant decide so plut says he can choose which one goes back to the world with him, this changes things ow that he has a choice as he needs to pick who is best for Athens, asks how they would deal with the sit, picks A and goes for a drink with Pluto
