Scene 1 =
The opening at the Acropolis - The women meet and begrudingly accept L's decision to have a sex-strike, they swear an oath over a shield and make their way to the Acropolis

The Old men and Women - The old men come along to burn the women out of the Acropolis, and the old women come in to taunt the men

The confrontation of O.M and O.W - The O.W dump their pitchers ontop of the men to put out their "fires" - symbolic

The arrival of the Magistrate - The mag comes along and comments on the deeds fo women and how men have encouraged their behaviour (fit a pin), he then orders the door be broken down

Lysis vs Mag = L comes out of the Acropolis and declares that there is no need to break it down, she explains why the women have taken hold of the Acrop and frightens away the policemen,Mag is dressed as a woman so he will listen then in a shroud

The confrontation of O.M and O.W 2 - both sides disrobe for a fight and insult eachother, ultimately the women win - forboding

3 Excuses - best wool, flax needs working and pregnant, L brings out an "oracle" to soothe the women

The confrontation of O.M and O.W 3 - The tales of Melanion and Timon

Myrhinne vs Cinesias - he tries to guilt her into comming home, she pretends to give in but avoids sex (bed, matress, pillow, scent, other scent) until she makes him promise to sort out the war and then she runs away

Spartan herald and Cinesias - banter about their erections and the "state" of things, decide the two groups of women are in a conspiracy and orders the herald get Spartan delegates

The confrontation of O.M and O.W - The two choruses join forces after the women help the men and the men admit they were wrong - forboding

Reconciliation of S and A - Lysis has teh two delegates agree to peace and negotiate terms over "Reconciliation", so aroused they agree to everything she says

Final scene = a feast and songs take place finishing with a Spartan song to Athene
