What is continuous dyeing?
Fabric is passed through a small pad bath which contains the dye. It is then squeezed between rubber-covered rollers that make sure the dye is even. Fabric is then moved to be fixed.

What is the concept of batch dyeing? What are the different types called?
Specific weight of fabric is treated in a self-contained machine, with a specific weight of dye; Jig Dyeing, Jet Dyeing

What is Jig Dyeing?
For fabrics that can't be creased. The fabric is wound from one roller to another so the fabric passes through the dye bath, continued until the desired colour is achieved.

What is Jet Dyeing?
Fabric is moved round the dyeing machine by a high pressure jet of the dye liquor.

What is semi-continuous dyeing?
Dye is put onto the fabric in the same way as continuous dyeing. The fabric is then wound onto a batching roller, and then then the dye can be fixed.
