explain using partical model why objects expand when they are heated
objects expand when they are heated becuse the particles vibrate very fast which causes them to become looser and this causes objects to expand.
1 of 5
what is an advantage of the expansion and contraction of objects caused by changes in temerature.
if there was a fire alarm and there was heat the metal expands co mpleating the circit causing th efire alarm to go off.
2 of 5
give one disadvange of the expanion and contraction of objects caused by changes in temperature.
on a train track in the summer the metal melts causing the metal to bend and if a train comes along the train will buckle and come off track.
3 of 5
what proof can you provide to convince someone that the forces involved in expansion and contraction ar every large.
the firth of forth bridge is approximatley i meter long in the summer that it is in the winter.
4 of 5
